Wrong Continues! In Genesis 16:5-15 we can read of Abram and Sarai's wrong choices and continuing sins! V. 5, "My wrong be upon you! I gave my maid into your embrace;" Abram and Sarai were promised a child heir by God, Himself! When God promises something, it will come to pass! God promises to those who repent of their sins, they will be saved! He has promised He will return for His church, and He will! Genesis 16 is a sad, honest commentary on the real lives of Abram, Sarai, and Hagar. Hagar flees for her life, completely confused about Sarai's hatred for her. V.16, "Abram was 68 years old when Hagar bore Ishamael to Abram:" A completely truthful account in the Bible.
What does the above truth mean to us? We must learn to go to God with our problems, wants, and needs! "God will supply all of our needs according to His riches in glory." As we walk with the Lord, ask God where to go, who to be with, and where to live! If you want children, ask the Lord! Our complete honesty before God is strongly recommended by this writer!
